Cait Bio:

Travel has forever been my passion. I have over 15 years of experience in the luxury travel industry. This experience lead me to a space of inspiring others through travel and I have now been running luxury wellness experiences and retreats for the past 10 years. My experiences have allowed me to travel to over 30 countries, work internationally on luxurious private yachts, travel extensively in Africa, Australia, Asia, America, and the Caribbean, and develop unique luxury wellness travel journeys for my discerning clients all over the world. I have worked in many facets of the hospitality industry and hold a unique place for wellness in my heart as I am a certified Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

 

Blending travel and well-being is an opportunity to create extraordinary experiences and I am passionate about showcasing this to my clients. I am dedicated to seeking out and facilitating the best and most unique experiences in the world by combining cultural involvement, exercise, stress reduction, culinary education and spiritual connection. I curate my workshops from my own personal experiences and trainings as a coach.

 

I developed Wild Wellness Travel after understanding the immediate need for a wellness focus to help truly reap lasting benefits from visiting magical destinations all over the world. I  create experiences and programming that allow transformation through my exclusive roster of luxury hotels and properties. I craft these unique experiences with top thought leaders in the wellness industry. This synergy of wellness leaders, luxury properties and detailed facilitation creates life changing memories that will be talked about for generations to come.

 

This journey of creating exclusive experiences lead me to become the Co-Founder of Wanderwell, a company that shows luxury hotels how wellness services will excite guests and create profound change for those that participate not to exclude the opportunity of additional revenue. We connect luxury properties to world class retreat leaders to curate once in a lifetime opportunities that guests travel the world for.



 

Sally Rubin Bio:

Sally is a 500hr registered yoga teacher originally from Vancouver, Canada, where she taught full time for 5 years before setting her sights elsewhere. Incorporating her love of adventure and yoga, she traveled around the world for a year, teaching and exploring until finally settling in Nicaragua late 2015.

Sally originally found yoga to compliment her various athletic endeavors, but soon discovered the effects of the practice reached far beyond physical benefits. Realizing yoga was becoming more than a hobby, and feeling a strong need to share her passion, she attended her first 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Bali, Indonesia, through the Vancouver based Prana Yoga Teacher College in 2010. After her return to Vancouver, she dove into teaching full time and continued her education by attending various Teacher Trainings to further her ability to teach Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative and Hatha yoga. In 2016 her thirst for more knowledge brought her to India, where she spent time in Ashrams, learning from gurus who taught her a more traditional approach to yoga which complimented her grasp of how yoga is practiced in the western world. Recently, she made the trip back to Bali to complete a 500hr teacher training with Exhale Yoga, learning advanced vinyasa from teacher Mathieu Boldron, Yin, anatomy and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Annie Au, and Philosophy from Dr. Ganesh Rao.

Dynamic, creative, sweaty and sweet, her classes range from Vinyasa to Restorative and Yin and are designed to leave you feeling lovingly rinsed out, mentally clear and physically longer and stronger. With careful emphasis on alignment and safety, she encourages her students to continually investigate the physical body and mental state with each breath with the hope that students leave each class feeling happier, healthier and fully equipped with tools to take their practice off of the mat and into everyday life.

Sitting on a beautiful beach in Los Cabos, Mexico, Michelle Steinke-Baumgard hit a personal rock bottom. She was tired, overworked, overweight and her beautiful life seemed anything but ideal. Michelle had fallen into the trap that happens to so many adults, putting everything and everyone above herself. From that beach, she decided to take her life in her hands when her husband reminded her that “only she could.” Upon arriving home, she threw herself into fitness, and her life started to take a positive shape. Just a few months later, her husband of nine years and father of their two children was tragedically killed in a small plane crash. For the first time, Michelle didn’t use a major life tragedy to quit on her fitness and instead used fitness to help her not quit on her life. Michelle found the deep connection to healthy healing through fitness and went on to start the widely successful blog, One Fit Widow. Michelle realized that those who experience life altering stress and grief need to be reminded that there is a healthy path forward. A few years later, Michelle was introduced to Keith Baumgard, who had lived through similar life circumstances and ironically had also used fitness as a path to healing from grief. Keith’s best friend Brandon was also killed in a small plane crash, and Keith turned to trail running to move forward. Keith, who has a background in exercise science has studied the mind, body connection at length and programs workouts for the thousands of clients they share through their company, My1FitLife. Keith and Michelle fell in love and share a deep passion for fitness and the healing it provides and the empowerment it brings the soul. Lauren Logan is a 500RYT certified through and teaching for YogaWorks in NYC. Lauren found hope and healing in yoga through a long struggle with chronic illness and now shares all that she’s learned in her 15+ years of practice to help her students find their own benefits of yoga. And she keeps it fun. And challenging. Her style is an ashtanga-informed vinyasa that stays moving, often to the sounds of Drake or a great electronic remix of a classic, best described as just real dope yoga.

First thing, what about the food right?
It’s going to be so good and a feature of the trip. Everything will be completely gluten-free in the style of Lauren’s wedding - without anyone noticing at all except when they feel better than usual. A private in-home chef will prepare meals coordinated with Lauren to be delicious and nutritious, and you’ll even get the recipes of the easy-to-make dishes to take home. Many other diet needs can be accommodated as well.

Don’t worry though, margaritas are naturally gluten-free and available throughout the trip. There is a private serve-yourself honor bar for anytime the mood strikes you, and there will be two group cocktail nights with a personal bartender.

The location of Isla Muerjes is so gorgeous and we are going to be luxed out at Coco B Isla getting the treatment.

Mornings will be filled with yoga workshops in the gorgeous outdoor yoga space overlooking the ocean. Lauren will teach you all of the yoga things your heart desires - focusing especially on handstands, arm balances, backbends, and ways to build strength that don’t suck.

Afternoons are for soaking up the sun, doing fun beach things, catching up on reading, taking optional group excursions, getting a massage, or maybe doing more yoga. Four dinners will be on-site with one night out on the town.

Overall, this experience is perfect for anyone who's into yoga, wants to sharpen their practice, and is down for a fun sunny trip in January.
